Health Promotion Seminars are one-hour programs delivered at your worksite/community facility at your convenience. Seminars are $220 per hour or $800 for a 4-part series. We recommend planning your seminar three to four weeks in advance. Our programs can be customized for your audience. We can also extend the time period and/or group themes to meet your particular needs.

Barriers to Communication

Just because someone can talk, doesn’t mean communication takes place. People often regularly insert communication barriers into their conversation. Communication roadblocks run a gamut of styles, including clearly critical patterns such as criticizing, threatening and moralizing, and well-intentioned patterns such as praising conditionally and advising. These roadblocks, plus others, create negative feelings and interactions. Participants will learn how to identify the barriers they or others use and aids for developing more effective communication.

Conflict Management

Any conflict is best resolved with tact, respect, honesty, assertiveness, and openness to flexibility in problem solving. Included are scenarios of typical conflicts at work and how to resolve them.

Unfortunately, some people haven't learned good listening skills.
